Samer Mekhail
Samer is the founder of NexGen Financial and Advisory Services. Samer has more than 15 years of public accounting experience, including client-facing service delivery, audit quality, professional practice and other leadership roles.
​
Prior to NexGen, Samer spent 14 years with Big Four firms where he focused on the delivery of attest services and held other roles in the assurance national office.
My Story
My journey began with KPMG, where I laid the foundation for a successful career in accounting and gaining invaluable experience. I then joined Ernst and Young (or "EY"), where I obtained my CPA license. During my time with EY, I was passionate about education, so I developed CPA materials to assist aspiring accountants in passing their exams. During my time with EY, I served large public clients across various industries.
Later, I became the Southern America Construction Leader at Marcum, further honing my expertise. Then joined BDO National Office where I focused on inspection support, audit consultation, and establishing and monitoring Audit Quality Programs. During my tenue with BDO, I served as a CAM Subject Matter Expert (or "SME"). Throughout my career, I have nurtured a dream of opening his own accounting practice, driven by a desire to help clients achieve their financial goals. NexGen is where I get the opportunity to help and support my clients the way they deserve.
